16 So the people went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. Then a [a]measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two [b]measures of barley for a shekel, (A)in accordance with the word of the Lord. 17 Now the king appointed (B)the royal officer on whose hand he leaned [c]to be in charge of the gate; but the people trampled on him at the gate, and he died, just as the man of God had said, (C)who spoke when the king came down to him. 18 So it happened just as the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, “(D)Two [d]measures of barley for a shekel and a [e]measure of fine flour for a shekel, will be sold about this time tomorrow at the gate of Samaria.”
